The wise little girl

ACTIVITY 1: SUMMARY

Once upon a time, two brothers, one of them was rich and the other one was poor, went to sleep on a hut and left their horses outside. On the following morning, a foal was born, and they started arguing about who was the owner of the foal. As they didn't get in an agreement, they decided to ask the judges, but it was the day that the emperor himself administered the law.
The emperor knew that the owner of the foal was Ivan, the poor brother, but he got annoyed with him and decided to pose a riddle and the two brothers had to answer some questions in a week, and the one who solves the questions will have the foal.
Dimitri, the rich one, had no one to help him,  so he asked a woman to help him and he'd cancel part of her debt, but her answers weren't very good. Ivan asked his seven-year-old daughter who was pretty smart, and she gave him clever answers.
The day came, and they told the emperor their answers. The emperor knew that Ivan was the winner, but he couldn't admit it in front of his counselors, so he told Ivan to bring his daughter but in some conditions that were practicly impossible to make. If he made it, he'd win the foal and a hundred silver ducats, but if he didn't, he'd have his head chopped.
Ivan thought that they wouldn't make it, but the little girl was so smart and made it. On the day of the audience, the girl appeared and she had carried out the task. The emperor was really impressed and proud, and awarded them a hundred silver ducats and the foal.

ACTIVITY 2

We would like to be friends with the emperor, because he is rich, has a lot of power and can boss anyone. We have less in common with the woman that Dimitri asks questions, because she is dumb and we don't like being friends with uninteresting people.

ACTIVITY 3

The message behind our fairy tale is that being smart is the most important thing ever and we can do everything we want with that, because Ivan is alive and rich only because his daughter's cleaverness.

ACTIVITY 5

Key Words: HORSE, KING, SMART GIRL.

ACTIVITY 6

Our story,  “The Wise Little Girl” is related with the information in this article for both need kids intelligence  to save lives.

ACTIVITY 7

(Tale read: Cinderella)

We think that the activity 1 is really good, because it tells the story of Cinderella well and it's short, with only the important parts, without unimportant details, which is exactly what a summary is meant for.
About the activity 3, we agree with the group, because true love has no barriers and the evil always loses, the good ones will always beat the mean ones, just like Cinderella did to her step-mother and her step-sisters.

ACTIVITY 8

There's a great relation between the tale and the news proposed, because both speak about child labor. In the Cinderella's story, she just worked for her stepmother and she is badly treated, not having privileges and being treated as a servant. Nowadays is very common to find child labor, mainly in Brazil, where the children work too hard, and doesn't have a good childhood.
