ACTIVITY 1: SUMMARY
ONCE upon a time there was a prince who wanted to marry with a real princess. He travelled all over the world to find one, but it was so difficult. So he came home sad.
One evening during a terrible storm, a princess knocked on the city gate. The old king opened the gate and she said that she was a real princess.
The old queen laid a pea on the bottom of the bed. Then she took twenty mattresses and laid them on the pea, and the twenty eider-down beds on the top of the mattresses.
The princess had to lie on this all night.
In the morning, the princess said she had slept very badly. She was lying on something hard. So she said that she was black and blue all over her body.
Now they knew that she was a real princess. Nobody but a real princess could be as sensitive as that. So the prince took her for his wife.
ACTIVITY 2
I would like to be friend with the old queen, because she is very intelligent. I have less in common with the princess, because she is so sensitive.
ACTIVITY 3
The message of this story is that you must trust in yourself no matter if others do not believe in you. We always have to be ourselves without trying to pretend to be something else. I came to this conclusion at the time the queen lays the princess and her evidence without making any effort proves to be a real princess.
